Another update on the Social Justice Design project! (See here My group created two prototypes. The two prototypes that my group came up with included a community event and bike rental. Our team collaborated very nicely and our mindset was to keep working hard and having a fun time doing it. I think that we brainstormed some very good prototypes! My experience with testing the user was pleasant. Our community partner is very accepting and kind of our work. Before informing our community partner of our ideas we considered the users’ interview and what she really wanted from the prototype. She wanted biker safety and to create a social norm of biking everywhere. The feedback we got from our community partner was very positive! She really likes the event and we choose to present that one for our presentation on May 28th. I noticed that she was being honest with us. She genuinely liked our idea of a community biking event. I learned that people can be fun to work with. I usually don't like to collaborate, but I loved this! My areas for growth are my mediocre art skills. If I were to do it again I would have gotten more feedback so I could tailor the prototype more.
