My journey to a 4.0 GPA, and all my academic and emotional overcomings truly began on October 8th, 2017 when I lost my home to the Atlas Peak Fires. I was in Trondheim, Norway with my mom when I got the call that my dad and sister had barely made it out alive. Since that day I have decided to live life to it's fullest. Instead of calling myself a "fire victim", I decided to make a change in my own life to prove that I could make every day worth living, and not be a victim to anything. I strived to make my home out of people and values rather than places and things. (Written October 7th, 2018)
All photos below are of my experiences and the life I made for myself after the fires.
